About the Role
As a Senior Experience Designer, you will have the opportunity to both perform independently in client projects as project lead, as well as partner/pair with other Make&Model design team members on collaborative projects. In this position, you will balance both thoughtful user experience design and detail-oriented user interface/visual design for digital products & services across industries including science, technology, health, wellness, and social good.
As a Make&Model team member you:
- Work collaboratively — internally, and with our clients
- Have experience in client management, comfortable in managing project outcomes and presenting work directly to clients as well as maintaining client relationships as a project lead
- Have a high level of self-motivation and ability to participate in all project phases, from strategy to research to iteration to launch, with the ability to manage time effectively
- Have continued curiosity and stay humble: you have an eagerness to learn and a growth mindset. You stay open-minded and have a desire for feedback on how you can grow

As a Senior Experience Designer you:
- Work iteratively on initial concepts, user flows, prototypes, and high fidelity visual design
- Have the ability and desire to solve complex product design problems and think strategically, challenging the status quo to find new ways of solving problems
- Are comfortable planning research studies, conducting 1:1 interviews, and synthesizing research findings to inform design decisions
- Exhibit strength in synthesizing and presenting findings but most importantly, articulating design rationale
- Have the ability to create design systems and think systematically for responsive, modular, and component-based design
Salary & Benefits
Salary range:
$115k - $130k, commensurate with experience

Our headquarters are in San Francisco with distributed team members in Los Angeles, Chicago, and DC. We work as a remote team utilizing various digital tools to stay connected (Slack, Zoom, Miro, Range). Occasional travel for team offsites, client onsites & kickoffs post-pandemic.
